Beschrijving

De kraag is hoog en beschermend en de manchetten zijn omvouwbaar om je handen te beschermen tegen regen en wind. Dankzij de tweewegrits aan de voorkant en de split aan de achterkant krijg je samen met de elastische beenbanden aan de binnenkant van de rijjas een uitstekende bescherming tegen regen en vuil, zelfs in het zadel. De paardrijrijjas heeft een bescherming voor de rits aan de voorkant, waarin mooie en praktische, reflecterende details zijn verwerkt.

Als de temperatuur begint te dalen, kun je de rijjas completeren met onze Wool Hybrid Liner die je met een slim knoopsysteem aan de rijjas bevestigt.

Shell:

10/10 Polyamide, 100% Polyamide Ripstop with shiny surface, PU membrane.
Durable and lightweight 2-layer Polyamide material. Polyamides are known for their durability and resistance to wear and tear. They are commonly used in outdoor and performance clothing. Polyamide is a lightweight material that is stronger than polyester in relation to its weight. Also referred to as Nylon.  Ripstop construction with a shiny surface makes the garments more resistant to tearing and ripping. Printed PU membrane to provide high water protection and breathability.

Water column is a way of measuring the degree of waterproofness in a garment to understand the garment's ability not to let water through. How high a water column a garment can withstand is also affected by how it is used; a harder and more active use requires more of the material. Therefore, we recommend regular reinforcement with impregnation to ensure the full function of the garment.

Breathability is often measured in a ‘g/m2/24hrs’ measurement. This rating represents the amount of water (or sweat) by weight that can pass through a square metre of fabric over a day. 

Taped seams
Essentially, taping seams enhance the waterproof protection of clothing. Needle stitching leaves tiny holes in the garment through which water can seep when worn in wet conditions; taped seams prevent this from happening.

Bionic Finish ECO Fluorocarbon free DWR 
Fluorine-free water repellent textile finishes to achieve water-repellent effects. Many plants have a natural water repellency. BIONIC-FINISH® ECO absorbs this effect so that we can use it for our products.

Insulation: 

Uhip does not use down in our garments, but we have used wool or synthetic fibres instead. The benefits of synthetic insulations are that they keep the heat even in wet condition and it dries quickly. The basic principle for all insulations is the same: small spaces in the fibres encapsulate body heat and keep you warm. The more air between the body and the cold, the more effective insulation.
